Today we can announce it and we really want to tell you: This morning our new show “Adiós Arturo” has been presented in Torrelavega. During the next month of July we will perform five performances of the show at Teatre Municipal Concha Espina. It is a pleasure to return to this wonderful place full of theatre lovers, who have always welcomed us with open arms and where we have made and keep great friends!

We are anxious to start the tour of this show, which it is going to be the most fun adventure. On this occasion, we have decided to release our new show, “Adiós Arturo”, at the Teatro Olympia in Valencia, a place where we feel loved and where we really wanted to return. Since few days ago, we can see the typical uproar the company has when we prepare a new show in our premises in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat. Suddenly the actors come in, then they come to show the new stage design, then there are the costume tests, the technicians go up and down testing, the phone in the office does not stop… We are all on the move to make a fun and fabulous “Adiós Arturo”.
The show Gente Bien. El musical, which was performed during whole nine months at Teatre Coliseum from Barcelona during last year, now it arrives on television during these days of joy.
More than 170.000 people have seen the show during the 250 performances that were held.
“Gente Bien” is a farce written by Santiago Rusiñol that La Cubana takes as an excuse to adapt it and creating a proper musical show. Rusiñol pictures and criticizes the nouveau rich appeared during industrialization in Barcelona. La Cubana adapts it into four different ages (1917, 1951, 1980 and 2017) to demonstrates that the need of showing off its timeless.
Jordi Milán wrote the script and Joan Vives, the music, which was performed by the musicians of l’Auditori de Barcelona. With 15 actors in the stage and an unprecedented display, La Cubana dares to make a proper musical like the international productions.
We are very happy to have been nearly nine months in the Teatre Coliseum of Barcelona with this show, “Gente Bien. El musical”, where we have performed the show 250 times and has been seen by more than 170.000 people.
“Gente Bien. El musical” is an all-fledged musical, and we used as an excuse to do what we always do: a theatre show that talks again about the theatre. A show that, despite to renew a Catalan classic piece from Santiago Rusiñol, has been useful to show and talk about ourselves, to talk about La Cubana.
We want to thank all the audience, again, the love and charm given by. All we have received has been the fuel to do everything we have done.

¡La Cubana has gone crazy!!! They told me that due to the occasion of the “Teresinada Popular”, and in the last weeks of the show “Gente Bien. El musical” in the Teatre Coliseum, the people that come to see the show between the 23th of April and 7th of will be given the DVD’s of the series “Teresina S.A.” for free.
We are in the middle of celebrations: with the lasts performances of “Gente Bien. El musical” we have occupied the first floor of the Teatre Coliseum with an exhibition about “Teresina S.A.” a tv series that were on live for the first time 25 years ago.
The exhibition contains an endearing selection of props, dresses and original wigs that have been used on the recording, and a selection of photographs from the shooting, mock-ups and sketches from the staging, without forgetting the famous “pedidos” (orders) that the Teresines worked undergrounded in his apartment with the help of the neighbours. The entrance to the exhibition is free and it is specially design for the fans and followers of the series and La Caubana.
The exhibition will remain open from Wednesday till Sunday from 17:00 till 20:30 (just before the show “Gente Bien. El musical”) Open till 20th of May.
At last, we have it in our hands! To celebrate the 150.000 spectators of “Gente Bien. El musical” we have edited the disc with the music of the show. Everyone can enjoy now the 17 songs of this musical anywhere, anytime. The lyrics are inspired into the satiric play Santiago Rusiñol; Joan Vives composed the music and the musicians from l’Auditori de Barcelona play in the recording.
