Inauguration of the International Theatre Congress. Institut del Teatre (Barcelona)

It is Catalan tradition of burying the mould of a character (Carnestoltes) who is the impersonation of the Carnival. The carnestoltes and his ministers (the capital vices) arrive in by train. A loading train is filled with people in fancy dresses. The king of the Carnival is walked around Sitges from a crane, going up and down, getting through balconies. He is wearing a seventy meters long cloak that is carried as a canopy.
