{"id":533182,"date":"2026-04-14T11:06:45","date_gmt":"2026-04-14T11:06:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.lacubana.es\/?p=533182"},"modified":"2026-04-14T11:06:45","modified_gmt":"2026-04-14T11:06:45","slug":"la-cubana-receives-two-critics-awards","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.lacubana.es\/en\/la-cubana-receives-two-critics-awards\/","title":{"rendered":"La Cubana receives two Critics\u2019 Awards"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>L\u2019AMOR VENIA AMB TAXI<\/em> has been recognized at the Performing Arts Critics\u2019 Awards with two outstanding honors that we are especially delighted about: <strong>Best Costume Design<\/strong> and <strong>Best Musical<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>This double recognition highlights the work of the entire team behind the production, as well as the spirit of the show, which from the very beginning set out to be a tribute to amateur theatre in Catalonia \u2014 and, in a way, also to our own history and way of making theatre.<\/p>\n<p>This project was made possible thanks to the repayable grants from <strong>ICEC<\/strong> for Catalan-language musicals, the tax incentives from the <strong>Ministry of Culture<\/strong>, which we accessed with the support of <strong>Reixach Escorxador<\/strong>, and the willingness of <strong>Grup Focus<\/strong>, who made room for us in the program of the <strong>Teatre Romea<\/strong>.
