We are thrilled to announce that Jordi Mil\u00e1n<\/strong>, director of La Cubana<\/strong>, has been awarded the 2025 SGAE Medal of Honor<\/strong> in recognition of his outstanding career and contribution to the performing arts.<\/p>\n

SGAE has honoured Jordi Mil\u00e1n as the soul of La Cubana, \u201cwho, under his direction, has brought theatre closer to the public with a unique style full of humour, complicity and creativity.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n

Since 1986, Jordi Mil\u00e1n has created and led more than twenty iconic productions that have left their mark on generations, including C\u00f3meme el coco, negro<\/em>, Campanades de boda<\/em>, Cegada de amor<\/em>, and Adi\u00f3s Arturo<\/em>, among many others.<\/p>\n

This year award ceremony will take place on May 21st at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona<\/strong>, where Joaqu\u00edn Sabina, Gema R. Neira and Editorial Boileau will also be honoured. A tribute will also be paid to Mar\u00eda Lej\u00e1rraga<\/strong>, who has been named honorary president posthumously.<\/p>\n

This recognition of Jordi is one we also share with everyone who has been, or is currently, part of La Cubana. Congratulations, Jordi!<\/p>\n
